i was listening to "brain stew" when i realized the lyrics were actually pretty dark, so i thought it would be cool to see how it would sound if the instruments were stripped-back, elliot smith/bon iver style. then i realized there wasn't really a chorus in "brain stew", so that's when i threw in "boulevard of broken dreams." and then i recorded and mixed all of this in my bedroom while using garageband for the second time in my life. yep. thx 4 reading this.
